Jen Unekis’s delicate lines, soft layered surfaces, and bold strokes pull the viewer in. When she paints, she is most interested in exploring the accidents: the awkward dance of maintaining control within a piece without constricting it, taking care not to step on its toes and ruin the magic, creating a piece that finds its own balance. This solo exhibition will showcase Jen’s newest paintings.
The Lawrence Arts Center is proud to have Jen as the 2019 Benefit Auction Featured Artist.
The Lawrence ArtWalk is Lawrence’s original art walk and is an annual artists’ open studios event featuring the visual artists of Douglas County, Kansas, USA.
